Stay Close to the Soul of Kerala

Tradition, temples, craftsmanship, rivers and the gentle rhythm of village life.

Experience Aranmula

Aranmula is more than a destination.

It is a place shaped by tradition, temples, craftsmanship, rivers and the gentle rhythm of village life.

Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple

Aranmula Kannadi

One of the most unique cultural treasures of this region is the world-famous Aranmula Kannadi (Aranmula Metal Mirror). Unlike ordinary glass mirrors, this rare handcrafted mirror is made from a special metal alloy and polished through a closely guarded traditional process.

It is considered both a cultural symbol and a heritage craft of Kerala, often associated with prosperity and auspiciousness. Visitors can explore local artisans and understand how this centuries-old craft continues to be preserved in Aranmula.

Aranmula Vallamkali

Aranmula Vallam Sadya & Vallamkali Experience

Aranmula is also famous for the legendary Aranmula Vallamkali (snake boat race), a spectacular cultural and spiritual event held on the Pampa River.

Along with the race, one of the most cherished traditions is the Vallam Sadya, a grand community feast prepared for the oarsmen and participants.

The Vallam Sadya is a traditional Kerala banquet served on banana leaves, featuring a wide variety of vegetarian dishes prepared in authentic style. It reflects the spirit of unity, devotion, and celebration that defines Aranmula’s cultural identity.
